This study attempts to investigate whether the use of online grammar quizzes improves the ESL proficiency and attitudes towards online practice of post-secondary students. Two groups of students participated in the research which was conducted in February-March 2008. The findings showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups in their scores on a grammar test, which suggests that the students who used the online ESL grammar quizzes improved their proficiency in grammar. In addition, most of the students found online grammar learning useful as, with a computer and an Internet connection, they could practise at their own pace.
