This paper describes and illustrates a web platform which has been developed for interactive online teaching and learning. The platform has a wide range of features, and is easy to use and manage, e.g.
The online reading system in the platform allows students to read the teaching materials at any time, insert bookmarks for any paragraphs or key content, and make notes on their reading.
In addition to functions such as Q-databank management, the random generation of test papers, automatic scoring and statistical evaluation, the platform's built-in testing system has a function for making study plans and checking progress for improved management of teaching and learning.
A web-based online debate system in the platform offers teachers and students the possibility of expressing their views.
By using the handwriting function supported by the system, one can insert mathematical and chemical formulas and special symbols easily and directly without the need for additional plug-ins.
The whole teaching and learning process, as well as the operating procedures, can be followed by the system to keep records of the interactive activities and the required learning time. In addition, teachers can modify and evaluate the work submitted by students through the online editing function of OFFICE documents and marker functions. The revised documents can be then be put back on the Web for the learners to review them.
